If you have interest in Abraham or any of our sweeties please fill out the adoption application

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where the dogs are feeling safe and loved.

Abraham - in Maine!

Posted June 2017

Check out this precious boy! Abraham just loves everyone. He recently saw the vet for a checkup and everyone was in love with him. He will jump in your lap or sit for a treat! Abraham is about 8 months old who is a lab mix, he must be mixed with a small breed because he’s about half the size of a lab! He is one  happy little guy! He was underweight when he came in to our southern partner shelter but is gaining slowly and doing so well with everyone. He loves the other dogs, and he is a shelter favorite among all the humans.

They use the Meet Your Match Evaluation and he was assessed to be ”Orange-Busy Bee – I’m a naturally playful, curious and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.”

Abraham is so handsome with his white coat, and his ears have brown patches and speckles. He is a friendly, affectionate and very smart dog who is great on a leash and is a wonderful companion on daily walks. He also has lots of energy, so helping Abraham get the exercise he needs will be great!

In the  play yard at the shelter, he has such fun! He especially enjoys tennis balls. After he is done playing, Abraham will sprawl in the grass to relax. He has already learned to sit for the reward of a treat, and should do so well with training. This truly special dog will be an amazing and delightful companion!
