Amigo - in Maine!

Posted December 2019

Amigo is a two year old cattle dog mix, possibly with pointer and he is 68 lbs. He is so beautiful with his speckles and his two-colored eyes.

Amigo can be a bit awkward meeting new people and often responds in protective mode until he is reassured by his human leader that he doesn’t need to take that role. He can be awkward with new dogs also and our friends at Kompletely K9 Dog Training and Rehabilitation are taking it slow eith integrating him around new dogs. He acts friendly, especially to wiggly and fun dogs. Amigo is a very smart dog who will need mental as well as physical activity to work that handsome and smart brain of his.

Amigo was adopted in 2018 (his name was Ambrose) and recently returned to us so that he can find a home with the right combination of leadership, activity level and patience.   We just love this boy and know his perfect fur-ever home is out there.

If you have interest in meeting Amigo or any of our sweet pups, please fill out the adoption application

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
