Baloo - in Maine
These little lovers are named after bears - they are cuddly and bouncy like little cubs. Their mom is a lab mix, the same mom to Hogan, Harriet, Huxley, etc who recently came north to us. Mom won’t let people approach so our partner rescuers are working with local animal control to humanely trap her so she can be spayed. Baloo is 4 and a half months old (as of late February) and he weighs almost 25 lbs. He is so adorable!
The “bear puppies” were rescued from under a shed – the rescuers had to tear up the floor to get to Baloo ! They are healthy, happy, outgoing babies! They are great with kids and love playing with other dogs. We are finding that Baloo just loves the company of other dogs and would do best in a home with at least one other canine companions. He also LOVES children, and has done really well with them.
Baloo recently came to some adoption events with us and was the life of the party, rumble tumbling with other dogs and giving kisses to the people. He is a champion snuggler and loves to play!
If you are interested in one of these sweethearts, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical location where the dogs are housed; they all are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved through the rescue, that potential adopters will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Thank you for considering rescue!
