Bree - in Maine!

Posted June 2022

This beautiful mixed breed girl is approximately 40 lbs and 1 year old.

Bree was formerly known as Sally, and was abandoned with several other dogs following severe storms earlier this year in Mississippi. A local animal lover ensured the dogs were given food and water until our southern rescue partner could step in and get the dogs into foster homes and cared for properly. Bree loves other dogs and has lived successfully with young children.

Now in Maine, Bree is showing what a fun, loving girl she is and will make someone a wonderful canine companion. She is currently living with other dogs but would likely also be happy soaking up all the attention as an only dog. Bree is housetrained, crate trained and loves to snuggle with her people. In her southern foster home she did fine living with the children in the home. At this time we do not have any information on her with cats. Bree can get a bit nervous in new situations but with love and patience she will continue to come out of her shell.

Bree gets a bit carsick on longer rides so may not be the best for a family who travels a lot. Definitely remedies available but wanted potential families to have that info.

Her foster mom tells us she does the funnest thing on a leash. She gets super excited then rolls like a gator, such a silly girl! Bree is fun-loving, affectionate, and ready to find forever love!

If you have interest in meeting Bree or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
