Brittany - in Maine!

Newest update:  October 2017

We are proud to be able to do a part and take some dogs displaced by the hurricanes that  affected Polk County, FL.

Brittany is a playful 11 month old girl  (as of early October) maybe a Plott Hound or another mix, maybe a little boxer in there. She is good with other dogs and she will chase cats wanting to play but not aggressively. She has been to doggy daycare and is doing great as a social dog ready for a forever family.

Brittany is 35-40 lbs and we are delighted she is here with us!  She is just the happiest girl!

Brittany is melting hearts left and right! She is such a doll, and so smart, sweet, and loving. You can tell she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to things in her early life as she backs away from some objects and situations, but with a little patient coaxing she is able to move on easily.  She has not had one negative reaction to anything or anyone, even had a bath and was fine.

Brittany is learning commands quickly. She already knows sit and is working on down, stay, and come. She is making great progress on housetraining, sleeps through the night her crate with just one pee break. Brittany loves the two other dogs in her foster home.

An active family will LOVE this girl, and she might make a great runner. She even went in the water and has been exploring and having fun. The leash is pretty new to her but she’s already making progress because she is so attentive to her humans. She is very treat motivated, loves bones and is so gentle when taking food. At first she would jump on you for attention but she is already learning to keep her paws on the floor and get loving that way.

Her foster mom says she is a little dream!

If you have interest in meeting Brittany or any of our sweeties please fill out the adoption application.

Please note: We do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
