Chipper - in Maine!
Posted August 2020
This handsome fellow would love a home with other dogs. He loves the company of fellow canines. He loves to have good, wholesome fun at doggy daycare and would play all day if you would let him. He loves romping in the field and playing with his dog buddies.
Chipper listens well and loves attention from the staff. They just love him and say he will make a loving, wonderful pet. He's very good-natured and gentle and great on a leash. He loves to lay out in the sun and will roll around the grass in total joy.
When he rides in the car he sometimes gets carsick so he takes medicine for motion sickness. This handsome dude would probably not make the best pet for a family who travels a lot. He is super smart and might do well in agility. He loves long walks, runs and hikes. He knows the “sit” command and is very treat motivated. Chipper appears to be house-trained.
Chipper appears to be a hound dog and his joyful song confirms that for us ; 0 ) He is 2 ½ years old.
When Chipper was brought to the shelter with our southern rescue partners, he had a broken jaw that had to be fixed surgically and wired shut. He has recovered beautifully and eats just fine.
If you have interest in meeting Chipper or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
