Cindy - in Maine!
Posted September 2021
This little cutie is about 30 lbs and could not be more fun or more full of personality. Cindy’s foster family calls her “Honey” and she reponds to that more than Cindy; it suits her because her fur and eyes are a golden honey color.
We think she is part dachshund or bassett because she has a long body on short little legs. She is making great progress on leash manners and housetraining. She likes her crate because it’s her dining room as well as resting place – she eats her meals there so she goes running to it excitedly when it’s time. Cindy does best in a plastic crate where she can’t chew the tray. She takes a few minutes to settle once in there but does so like a champ. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed, the couch, or the human bed.

Cindy is approx. 30 lbs and her vet estimated her age at one year old.
Cindy could do well as an only dog – she loves squeaky toys and entertains herself beautifully. It took her a few tries to learn what is ok to chew on so doggy proofing will be needed. Cindy came to a big event with us and did great meeting humans and dogs.
If you have interest in meeting Cindy or any of our cuties , please fill out application.
Please note: We do not have a physical location where the dogs are kept. They are cared for in our network of wonderful foster families throughout New England. Our expectation is that, once approved through the rescue, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in their foster placement where they are feeling safe and loved.
