If you have interest in Cooper or any of our sweeties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Cooper - in Maine!
Most recent update: December 2016
This cute little man is a 6 year old Cocker Spaniel/Poodle Mix who weighs all of 12 lbs! Cooper is a local surrender as very sadly his human family is changing and neither parent is in a position to keep him.
Cooper is in foster with us now and he is doing awesome with another small dog, cat and some birds. He is a wonderful snuggle buddy and is loving life!
Cooper is a little shy & reserved upon meeting new people & may voice his anxiousness with some barking. Once he knows you are a friend & not a foe he will soon become your buddy & gladly succumb to snuggling up on your lap.
Cooper was raised with young children but was an only pet. One of our volunteers did introduce him to some of her furry family where he had no interest in the cat, was keen to be a play buddy with a dog of similar size but seemed uncomfortable around the larger breed dog.
Cooper's new family should be aware that he has a history of marking when in new situations but now that he's in foster he is doing really well and not marking any longer.
We feel Cooper could do well in either an active home or alternatively could also be just as content as a wonderful companion dog.
