Cyrus - in Maine
Posted March 2019
This sweet senior boy would be a wonderful addition to almost any home, unless you would like a very active sporting dog. Cyrus is a local surrender and has done a little bouncing around prior to being rescued, mainly with good-hearted people who tried to save him but didn’t have the means. Since coming into rescue he has been updated on medical needs such as vaccines and a badly-needed nail trim and he will receive dental care shortly so he can remain more comfortable and healthy.
Cyrus is a fun-loving affectionate boy and you should have seen him when he came into foster care with a fenced yard and two small dogs to play with; he was just in heaven. He has also been around cats and children with no issues, and he just loves to be loved on. He went on his first beach outing and was a rock star. Talk about a dog grateful to gain his freedom!
Cyrus is 8 yrs old. He is a hound for sure but is not loud or over-curious. He’s just a wonderful boy who is happy to be around you. He is house-trained, crate-trained and doing great! He is good on leash, and meets people with great manners. He weighs approx. 70 lbs but could afford to lose a few of those for sure.
We’d love for you to meet this cutie! If you have interest in meeting him or any of our dogs, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
