Dag is a local dog who is being fostered in central ME. If you have interest in meeting him or any of our other sweeties please fill out the adoption application

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Dag - in Maine!

Latest update: February 2019

This gorgeous and soft boy is 80 lbs of sweet soul! Dag is a 6-7 year old chocolate lab who needs a new home where there are no tiny kiddos and where he can run and play. He is a loving and sweet boy who craves attention and will attach to one person, so he needs a good leader and consistent routine. He likes an active lifestyle and loves to be outside. Once he is exercised he is a calm and snuggly boy. He loves to run around the yard and walk or hike on trails. He loves to ride in the car, swim, play fetch, and just hang out with his humans. He is great with other dogs as well, but no feline friends for Dag.  His best friend is a little 25-lb lady that he plays with all the time.

When our volunteers met Dag he was such an awesome energetic boy.  He took to them right away and showed off his smarts. When meeting new people he can be excited and just needs guidance how to greet politely.

We had a blast with Dag on "Fetch Me a Home" on WCSH6. Check out his TV debut!

Right now Dag is spending some time with one of our wonderful trainers and he is doing so well, he even helps with evaluating and accompanying other dogs, especially shy ones. He is doing beautifully and having a great time mastering new skills!

Dag  loves to have a routine. He will be a loyal dog, a great ball chaser, excellent hiker/walker and an overall awesome dog.
