Daisy - Courtesy Post
Daisy is a 2 ½ year old 60 lb mix breed dog who was trained for a veteran but couldn’t stay due to no fault of her own. She has wonderful house manners and is super cooperative. Daisy is very intelligent and loves to learn new commands for food and/or ball play! She walks great on a leash, knows sit, stay, down, paw, wait, ok, go to bed, leave it, roll-over, and sit pretty. Daisy’s foster mom takes her for long walks in the woods and open fields off leash and Daisy comes when called! She gets along with the foster family’s cat, dog, horses, and has been great with young children who visit, ages 3 to 10. Daisy does not befriend ALL dogs; she is particular about her playmates. This will need to be managed on a dog to dog basis. Other dogs are Daisy’s biggest distraction and challenge. Work on this is ongoing and getting better and better! She is being fostered in Southern Maine while she waits to find her forever home.
Daisy has had lots of positive reward training and obedience work.
