Dexter - in Maine

Sweet Dexter is here and we just love him! He is 56 lbs and one year old so may fill out a little bit more. He is as sweet as pie and doing well in his foster home with two female dogs. Dexter enjoyed doggy daycare but had some trouble with the small dogs because he was too much for them. 

In each new situation he can be timid at first but comes out of his shell when trust is established.  

 

We have no idea what Dexter’s breed mix is but his body shape reminds us of a hound mix. We do know he’s 100 percent adorable. He is affectionate with his humans after a little shyness. We think he would do great in a home with another dog or as an nly". He's been exposed to school-aged children and did well. We don't have cat info. at this time.

Dexter is great around human food and doesn't have possessive behavior around dog food or toys.  He walks well on a leash and has a great time romping outside with his dog buddies.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed. They are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
