Dover

Dover is a lucky lucky boy. He was rescued on the island of St. Thomas by a loving volunteer. He was living on the street and he and his friend (or brother or father) named Rover were surviving somehow. They were living in a junk yard, full of fleas and ticks, starving and filthy. They found food there and would hang out there hoping for some scraps.

One night last October he was  attacked by other street dogs. He needed medical attention so luckily he found his rescue angel who took him to a vet and got him taken care of, not only stitched up but neutered and updated on vaccines and successfully treated for heartworm disease.

Dover is simply a love, he appears to be 1- 1.5 years old. He deserves a home where he can be clean, loved and most importantly safe. He is a young active boy and deserves a chance at a long happy life.

He appears to be a shepherd or hound mix of some kind and he does well with his humans and likes other dogs.
