Emma- In Maine!
Last Update: February 2016
Emma is in Maine now and her foster mom tells us, “She is just a joy. She slept on the bed with us last night. She is doing her business outside, and so far she is awesome on the leash with a harness. Those ears!!!! She reminds me of Falkor...the flying dog on Neverending story."
Emma and Elise were found running in the street, almost getting hit by cars. Our partner rescuers were called and were able to pull them into foster care and get them spayed and vaccinated. They each weigh about 7 lbs and the vet thinks they are lhasa apso mixes. They are unsure if they are related, but they think Emma could be Elise’s daughter. Emma appears to be about one year old and Elise appears to be about two. They both had to be almost completely shaved due to the mats in their coats.
Emma is doing great on housetraining and getting the hang of using the doggie door. She plays well with the other dogs in the foster home – all of them are small dogs, a bit bigger than her. She loves to lay on the couch and cuddle with the humans.
If interested in Emma or any of our sweeties, please fill out the application
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed. All dogs are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential adopter and their family will meet the dog in the foster placement where they are feeling safe and loved.
Thank you for considering rescue!
