If you would like to meet Fannie or any of our awesome dogs, please fill out the adoption application.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue! If you have questions, please email us at

Would you look at this gorgeous girl! This sweet soul has been through way too much and it’s time for her to find a family to love and who will love her back and not treat her poorly. Fannie was rescued at a truck stop where her owner was trying to get her out of the truck. When she didn’t listen he forced her out onto the ground. When she pulled loose, some good Samaritans stepped in and called the police. The man signed her over to the rescue then and there to avoid being arrested.

Amazingly, Fannie is healthy and has been well cared for, and she is as sweet as pie in spite of falling into the wrong hands. It’s almost as if she knows her time has come for happiness!

Fannie is 6 years old, 69 lbs and still has a good amount of energy for a middle-aged labby lady. Her vet office is caring for her short term and they are so grateful she can come to Maine and find forever love.

Do you have a home full of unconditional love for this sweetheart?
