Fred has just turned one year old! A great birthday gift for him would be a forever home! Fred is so sweet and was rescued with his sister Wilma. She just got adopted but now it's his turn! Fred is a handsome lab mix with a more squatty body so whatever his mix is makes him adorable and a great medium size at 47 lbs.
Fred enjoys people and other dogs; in fact he's having a blast at doggy daycare. His daycare fans tell us, "He plays hard but is good about taking corrections from other dogs and giving them when he needs to. We are working on his recall as well as sit, he is a very energetic boy but with some patience I think he'll have those commands down pat! I also trimmed his front nails yesterday after noticing they were fairly long, he was wiggly but tolerated it very well!"
He met a cat and was very curious at first but settled down and ignored after a bit.
If you have interest in meeting Fred or any of our sweeties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
