Gambler - in Maine
Posted March 2019
This sweet boy is just so special to us! Gambler was adopted in 2014 from us and moved halfway across the country. Because of changes in his family, he had to be surrendered. We weren't sure how we could get him back here but this is where wonderful people come in. The husband of one of our volunteers is a long-haul truck driver and offered to go out of his way to pick up Gambler. Because of his kindness and the cooperation of the shelter where Gambler ended up, we were able to have him come back into foster care with our rescue.
Gambler was absolutely wonderful on the journey - snoozing, taking walks at break opportunities, and snuggling up his driving companion. Now that he is in a home Gambler has done well with the resident dog but is chasing the cats. He has lived with children and been very tolerant, even when they were too forward with him.
This sweet middle age man is 8 now and weighs 38 lbs. He's a gorgeous Australian Cattle Dog and will reward you with love and snuggles for the rest of his days if you will be his new family. Let's end this guy's bouncing around and help him find a forever home this time.
If you have interest in meeting Gambler or any of our sweeties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical location where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
