If you are interested in meeting Hannah or any of our sweeties, please fill out the adoption application.

Please note: We do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England.

It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Hannah - HOLD

This beautiful sweetheart is Hannah, she is 5-6 year old lab mix and is a great medium size, just under 50 lbs. Hannah was attacked by a bigger dog in the past so she can be a little shy at times with new dogs because of this. With a good slow introduction she does well and is actually living with other dogs and cats, including kittens,  right now in her southern foster home.

Hannah is a typical victim of the “Christmas puppy syndrome”. The children in the family want a puppy and their father said they could only have one dog – so off to the shelter went Hannah who had been a loyal family member for years. She was on the euthanasia list due to space so luckily our rescue friend got to know her and pulled her from that shelter.

Hannah has a medium energy level. She went to a foster home where the owner is a member of a college equestrian team and was looking for an active dog good with horses. Hannah did fine with the horses but was “too mellow” for that situation. But all the students on the team doted on Hannah!

On her trip to the vet, Hannah did great in the crate in the car and was an angel for all of her tests and procedures. She is friendly, affectionate, and good on a leash. She will sit on command and offer you her paw for a shake. Hannah is housetrained and is in great health.
