Have you heard Harvey's interview as "Pet of the Week" on WCLZ 97.9. Click here to learn all about him!
Harvey is about 5 years old now and is a gorgeous, outgoing and fun-loving guy. He will need a placement with an active family who will provide consistent good leadership in addition to exercise and play opportunities. He has attended some classes and is a fast learner. Harvey walks well on a harness and just loves to run and play! His snow white coat is beautifully marked with black spots and speckles. He is housebroken and crate-trained though the crate is not his favorite place. He loves his furry foster sister and loves to play; he sometimes greets with too much exuberance so he needs his humans to remind him that calm energy is what we like. Harvey can be reactive to other dogs on leash, and he tried living with a different dog full time, but they both had trouble sharing attention. He could be an "only" easily, as long as he is getting consistent love, leadership and exercise with his humans.
Harvey will need a feline-free home.
He loves to snuggle with his foster dad in his recliner when it's time for a nap. Harvey is not a big fan of the water, but he LOVES running around with his fleece toys. He's a tiny bit obsessed with them. He will also play catch but does not always return the ball.
We call him "Harvard" because he is so smart, but he's also a world-class snuggler!
Harvey - in Maine!
Harvey is ready to find his forever family! He would LOVE a home in the country with a fenced yard where he can run and play to his heart's content. He needs a good healthy amount of exercise and the opportunity to use his smart border collie brain. We don't really know his breed(s) because his parents were unknown. He was a stray who was saved by our southern rescue partner as a young guy.
To apply to adopt Harvey or any of our sweeties, please check out our application.
Please note: We do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.
