Jace - in Maine!
Most recent update: July 2019
Jace is a 3 year old cutie who is a lab/hound mix. He is a local surrender due to a changing family and needs a new home where he can be loved on and continue to work on training. He is 55 lbs and still very puppy-ish – specifically he likes to chew and goes through plenty of chew toys to keep him busy, especially while he is alone, and he is active.
Jace lives with a young child and does well, and he meets people exuberantly (sometimes a little too much so ; 0 ) He has a little trouble at the vet but does better with female providers. He also can be nervous in the car and sometimes when meeting new people. He doesn’t like to separate from his humans but with just a change in the set up of the coming and going of the humans, he will do well. He has worked with a trainer who thinks he will do just great with this.
Jace attended doggy daycare with his former family and did well but hasn’t lived with another dog full-time. He has also attended play groups and has met other dogs and done well.
Right now Jace is staying at one of our awesome doggy daycares; he goes to a home at night with one of the employees and has a blast. He's great during the day in small and large groups of dogs. We'd love for you to meet handsome boy Jace!
If you are interested in meeting Jace or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
