Jackson - in Maine!
Most recent update: May 2018
Jackson is affectionately nicknamed, "googly bear"! Such a sweetheart! Jackson is a handsome boy who is very sweet once he gets to know you. He is very nervous around children and may do best in a home with teens aor just adults. He loves to play with toys and run around outside. He would do well in a home with a confident doggy sibling. He is cat friendly! Jackson loves to be scratched under the chin. He is shy and takes a while to warm up, but once he is comfortable he is a love bug.
These beautiful J puppies are approx 11 months old (as of mid May) and Jackson weighs about 55 lbs. Their mom is a gorgeous boxer mix named Jodie and she weighs about 60 lbs. She was just adopted, and now we are working with the last of her puppies, Jackson and Jenna to help them overcome their shyness and find families of their own. He would benefit from having another dog in his family.
The J pups and their mom were found by a mailman out in a rural area of Arkansas. They were all in rough shape, living in the heat with very little shelter or shade. Our partner rescuers were able to nurse them back to health and now they are gorgeous and ready to find homes of their own.
If you have interest in meeting Jackson or any of our sweeties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
