Delores - in Maine!

Delores aka Dee is a really interesting mix of introverted and outgoing. Like many of our rescue pups, she had a rough beginning but is now thriving with her Maine foster family! When she first arrived,  Dee was pretty scared but rebounded quickly when she was shown love and treats  ; 0 )

She takes time to open up but when she does you will have a best friend for life.

 

She is living with two female dogs, a pre-teen girl and two older boys. The dog relationship is going well, and she has decided that cats are OK  friends. She is not a lover of rough housing but listens well to redirection. She wants to please her humans and with  her foster family she has become so cuddly and sweet.  She loves treats, belly rubs, and snuggling on the couch.  She walks well on the leash and loves her daily walk, chasing a ball or rough housing with her two furry housemates, as well as chasing squirrels. 

 

Dee is one and a half year old and 40 lbs. She is listed as “mixed breed” – we think she may be a black mouth cur mix. Whatever genetics are there, she’s 100% beautiful and deserving of a wonderful forever family.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
