Kaden - in Maine!

This spunky and sweet senior doesn’t want you to call him old, because he is just as much up for adventure as a young pup. Kaden’s owner passed away and he was rescued by one of our southern partners so that he could find a new retirement home. He was very scared in his most recent transitions but he is settling down and learning that he can trust his new humans. His foster family has two other small dogs and things are going well there.
Kaden doesn’t have experience with children and at his age (7-8 was the vet’s estimate but we think he could be older than that) we think it will be too much for him to acclimate to being around children or a home with a lot of coming and going.
Kaden is crate-trained, and he may have been house-trained in his former home but is having some accidents now with all the turmoil in his life. He wears “belly bands” and that keeps him from soiling in the house. He has been on some adventures like sailing and exploring New England.
Kaden weighs 11 lbs and he prefers calm older dogs like himself and we think he would adapt just fine being an “only” again with all the love and affection of his humans.
Such a little cutie!
