Katie - in Maine!

Katie is a pretty little lady, a sweet hound dog who is approx. 11 months old. She is energetic and benefits greatly from the opportunity to play with other dogs – she loved the dog park and rides well in the car.  Katie weighs 48 lbs and should fill out a little more so she is a great medium sized girl. She has already made tons of progress on  leash walking and learning that living indoors is pretty cool. Katie is more nervous with men but is coming around with treats and patience to her foster dad. She does well sleeping in her crate.

Katie met a cat and did well. Even though the cat hissed and swatted Katie didn't interact and was more interested in the humans.  She has met school-age kiddos and had a wiggly sweet response. She is so endearing!

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
