Kole - in Maine!
Posted November 2017
Kole is a 6 year old poodle mix. He was used for breeding and not really well taken care of, he was really matted when our southern rescue partners took him in so he has a really short haircut and we had to get him a jacket to tolerate this Maine weather! Kole is living with multiple dogs in his foster home and he is good with all of them – all shapes and sizes but he is a big boy at 92 lbs so could easily bowl over a small dog while playing. Kole is also good with kids and cats but sometimes doesn’t know his own size. He is house trained and crate trained. He is able to be left out of a crate because he doesn’t bother anything when he is hanging out with the other dogs but Kole has been a bit of a Houdini and figures out how to get out of a door or window if that’s an option, so a little extra “exit proofing” is needed.
Kole is a big boy and has some work to do on leash manners so will need continued training in this area.
If you have interest in meeting Kole or any of our sweeties, the first step is to fill out the application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s} in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
