Kota - HOLD!
*No additional applications being accepted for Kota at this time*
Most recent update: October 2020
This big beautiful fluffy girl is coming back into rescue due to her current owner's health issues. Kota is a Great Pyrenees who is 4 and a half year old and weighs 90#.
Typical of her breed Kota is very loyal to her person. She loves to lie outdoors, watching over her property but has been very well-loved and maybe a little spoiled, living comfortably, including having her very own recliner in her current home! Her favorite things are walks on the beach and she also very much enjoys the snow!
Due to Kota's size we would not place her with younger children as she would knock them over, she cannot live with cats and although currently lives as an only dog does enjoy playdates with other dogs. She would not do well with the hustle & bustle of living in the city or in an apartment and is not a fan of car rides. She likes to lay in the sun in the yard but unexpected noises bother her.
Kota is a very affectionate, sweet girl who loves to be petted, she knows the commands "Kota come", "stay", "down", "leave it".
If you have interest in meeting Kota or any of our sweeties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that , once a pproved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
