Latest update: April 2017
Levi is here with us and he is an amazing dog. He is sensitive and a bit tentative at first but when he falls for you it is complete! He is quite an active dog and loves to hike, snowshoe with his foster family, play crazy with his furry foster sister and romp around the fenced yard.
He is a petite guy at about 30 lbs. He loves other dogs and loves to chill out on the couch after a good romp. He is a fan of tennis balls and squeaky toys. Levi is about 1.5 yrs old now and he is ready to find a home like all his siblings have
Levi has had a long road to get to us. His siblings Lacey, Libby and Linus were able to come almost a year ago because they tested negative for heartworm disease but Levi had to stay with our southern partner rescue and get treated, first for demodex and then for heartworm. Not only did they have to raise the money which is significant, but the medicine is in short supply so it took time for him to get what he needed. Our wonderful volunteers and donors helped raise the money for Levi to come north.
Levi is living in foster with a female dog, cats, goats and chickens as well as a school-age child. He is doing very well - a bit skittish at first meeting but warms up with patience and treats. He is an awesome guy! He can be a little over-focused on the cats but has calmed down a lot with them.
This little lover has waited too long for his family, could it be yours?
If you are interested in meeting Levi or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they all are cared for in our wonderful foster network. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
