Meet the Nut puppies! They got their names because Peanut was, well, a tiny peanut, and we just went from there! These pups came from an unwanted litter and we have pictures of the male and female dogs on the property – all appear to be medium-size lab mixes. When rescued they had a tremendous case of demodex mange and most were diagnosed with H.O.D, (Hypertrophic Osteo Dystrophy) but both of these conditions have been treated and are resolved and these sweethearts are doing SOOOO much better! Our rescue raised money to get them healthy, spayed and neutered and transported here and we can’t wait to meet them. Peanut is the smallest at 14 lbs and Chester is the biggest at 29 lbs.

These pups are 4 months old and doing amazing now. Their southern fosters just love them. All of them know how to use a doggie door. All of them are good with other dogs and they love squeaky toys. They are crate-trained and learning about housetraining as well.

The first picture is their newest photo shoot!

If you have interest in meeting any of the Nut puppies or any of our cuties, please fill out the
 adoption application.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Thank you for considering rescue!
