Lucy - in Maine!
Newest update: September 2015
Lucy was surrendered to our southern rescue partners because her family didn’t want her any more. Our guess is she turned out a little bigger than they expected. She is 2-3 years old and is listed as a great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix but we are wondering if she is more of a lab/dane mix. No matter what, she is beautiful and sweet and weighs in at 72 lbs.
Lucy is housebroken and crate trained and has a friendly, gentle and very sweet natured personality. Lucy loves walks and playtime in the shelter yard. She knows the sit command and will offer her paw to shake. Lucy is such a long-legged beauty! She does well with people of all ages and also gets along with cats and other dogs.
Now that she is in Maine, we are getting to know her; her foster mom tells us she is a great family dog and has done well with the cat.
If interested in Lucy or any of our sweeties, please fill out the application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed. They are cared for in our network of wonderful foster families throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved through the rescue, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Lucy is in foster in southern Maine and doing great. She loves the other dogs in her foster home and is fine with the cats. She is a tall, lean girl.
