HOLD: we are unable to accept new applications for Luna at this time
Luna - in Maine
Posted July 2019
Luna is a one year old goldendoodle who weighs approximately 50 lbs. She is a sweet girl who is being surrendered to us by a local family who needs her to find a family with dog experience, more time to devote to an energetic young dog, and is willing to continue working with a trainer to help Luna’s anxious moments.
She likes other dogs, especially playful ones, and has been around chickens with no issue. She likes older children but can be too nervous to be around littler ones. She likes calm and routine.
When she meets new people Luna can be barky and jumpy, and exhibits a lot of “puppy-ness” still. She is super smart and knows some commands, even some sign language. She is loving and playful. Some of her favorite things are playing catch and chilling for belly rubs.
Luna has not been left alone for long periods of time but is doing well building up her tolerance for the crate.
Our volunteers recently met Luna and thought she was a fabulous girl with tons of potential in the right experienced active home.
If you have interest in meeting Luna, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
