Lupa - HOLD!

**No new applications accepted at this time**

This sweet girl showed up on the porch of a good Samaritan in the south. Her friends decided to take her in and arranged for her to come to Maine. At first the resident dog and Lupa were friends but now they are having troubles getting along.

Obedient, gentle and super smart, Lupa is a “people dog.” She has done well with cats and older kids, but not so much with dog buddies. She loves nothing better than to snuggle on the couch with you. She is a great jogging companion, is food motivated and is a quick learner with treats as motivation.

If you are ready to work with Lupa in an only-dog home, we’d love to hear from you. She is an active girl who needs a confident leader to help with her training.

Lupa’s vet thinks she is about two years old and she is approx 45 lbs. When she is home alone she does not use a crate and is OK as long as she is gated off from the cat litter.

Lupa was evaluated by a trainer who scored her in the "green" in all areas with the exception of interacting with other dogs. She is smart and sweet!

If you have interest in meeting Lupa or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
