This handsome boy is a local surrender who finds himself in need of a new home due to some changing family circumstances. Scout is approx. 12 months old and just under 40 lbs.  He has had a good deal of training under his belt -  he is crate-trained, house-trained, on and off leash trained, and will be able to continue his training if a new adopter chooses to do so. He is a cattle dog mix who is very loved and gets along with other dogs He plays nicely with children and is cautious of cats but has not lived with them. Scout has a good deal of energy like most herding dogs. This medium sized guy would love to join an active family. He enjoys the dog park and gets along with new people and dogs.

 

Scout LOVES to play fetch. He has a big supply of balls and loves his small partially-deflated soccer ball the best! He also enjoys belly rubs, affection, and treats! Scout loves riding in the car. 

 

We think Scout would love to participate in doggy sports and he would be just right for an active family.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network, and  it is our expectation that, once approved, a potential adopter and their family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
