Here's a fun video of Madison at an adoption event:
Here is a link to Madison's TV debut!
Madison - in Maine!
Newest update: April 2017
In just a short week with us we have learned that Madison likes to be on TV, loves every human, and loves the ocean! She is the cutest thing - on her second night with us she was sleeping in bed with her foster mom and must have gotten too hot. She scratched at the door then went downstairs to her crate, got her blanket, dragged it upstairs, and set it up next to the bed and slept the rest of the night like an angel!
Madison is a 3 year old Shepherd mix that was rescued from death row by our partner rescuers when she was down to an hour left. She was heartworm positive and needed to be treated so has been in their rescue for some time. Finally we got to bring this beautiful girl to safety and she has rewarded us with unconditional love. She is smart, gorgeous and so so sweet!
Madison is a petite girl who weighs 45lbs. She is active and would love a family that would take her on great hikes and walks. She is very sweet and good with kids, but older ones would be better because sometimes Madison gets a little excited and might knock a small one down. If Madison is with another dog it needs to be her size or larger because she can play a little rough. She’s just learning what it means to be a good pack member. She did great with all the dogs in her foster home in the south but here in Maine she is an "only" and is just fine with that. She does well in the crate and doesn't bother the neighbors. Madison is fantastic on a leash and loves every new person she meets!
If interested in Madison or any of our sweeties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
