If you have interest in meeting Merlin or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Merlin - in Maine!
Posted November 2020
This gorgeous guy is Merlin – he was adopted from our rescue last year and has become too much to handle in his family. He needs more exercise like most herding breeds do, and gentle but firm leadership. He is working with our training partners at Kompletely K9 and doing super well. He likes to go for walks and play in the fenced yard. When gets over-excited he needs some support to take a break and manage that self-control.
Merlin settles well in his crate, walks well on leash and is just a wiggly-butt guy. He likes to play ball and we think he may be a potential frisbie dog in the making! We would not place Merlin with cats due to his prey drive and not with young children due to his herding behaviors. A dog partner would need to be the right temperament. In his past home he could be a little rough in his play with the resident dog/
While this sweet boy is not for first-time dog owners, someone with herding breed experience and possibly a family in doggy sports would love this handsome guy. Merlin is 3 years old and weighs 41 lbs.
