Nikki - in Maine
Posted July 2019
Beautiful Nikki is 5 years old and weighs approximately 50 lbs. She has come to us as a local surrender due to no fault of her own; she needs a new environment that is safe and will bring her happiness.
Nikki has lived with other dogs and cats and did well with everyone. She is currently living with two male dogs in foster. She shows no aggression towards human or animals but will bark to alert her humans. She gets excited to meet new people and she is doing so well with consistent routine and furry brothers to play with. She could knock down a small child just because she is excited but she loves to meet everyone.
Nikki is learning that car rides can be OK; she just lays still and is happy when it’s over. She is also learning leash manners and using some different tools to see what will work best.
Nikki loves to be patted, especially on her chest. She likes to play with toys and will fetch. Nikki has not proven to be reliable off leash. She is a little sensitive about raised voices and does not prefer baths or spray bottles.
She is such a loving girl, we just can’t wait to find her family out there. Could it be yours?
If you have interest in meeting Nikki or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
