Nova - in Maine!
Posted: April 2021
This beautiful girl is Nova! She was rescued as a stray and was taken in by one of our partner rescues in the south. She is spunky and fun and a great medium size at approx.. 45 lbs. She appears to be a plotthound mix with that gorgeous brindle coat of hers. She is one year old and she likes other dogs but is a chaser of cats and horses.
Nova has been in the company of children of different ages and is wonderful. Her foster family has a toddler and they adore each other. Nova was pretty indifferent to the other dogs in the home at first but has started to come out of her shell more and play with them. She has become very attached to her foster parents quickly and we know she will find that special person or persons to attach herself to again!
At first Nova protested about going in the crate at night but now she settles more easily. She doesn't mind car rides - at first her foster family crated her for rides but now she will just curl up in the back seat and ride quietly.
If you have interest in meeting Nova or any of our sweeties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical location where the dogs are housed, they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved through the rescue, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
