This young dog has merry brown eyes and a beautifully patterned coat. Penny is one year old and weighs 42 pounds. Her southern vet thinks she is a lab/hound mix.

 

She has a bouncy, happy-go-lucky personality and loves everyone. Penny is very affectionate and loves human attention.  She is very active and loves to run and play. She really enjoys walks and is so interested in everything. She has not had a lot of leash training but is a smart dog who should do well once she is settled in and can channel all that energy. She is housetrained and does well with cats and dogs.

 

Her original owners gave her away and she ended up at one of our southern partner shelters. We can’t wait to get her here and help Penny reach her true potential!

*Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
