Poppy - in Maine
Posted July 2019
“Poppy” is a 9 year old girl who is coming back to us; her original name was Honeysuckle. Poppy has had some changes in her family – additional dogs and humans moving in and she is a little anxious and protective. She is not doing well with the young child in the home and needs to find a new home. She weighs 54 lbs and she is just beautiful, possibly a collie mix.
Puppy likes other dogs and does well with older kids and adult humans though can be a little more shy with men.She also can be nervous with unexpected noises like the doorbell. She is looking for a wonderful and calm retirement home.
One of our volunteers recently met P0ppy and she greeted him in a friendly manner, took treats and did great.
Poppy is a much-loved sweet lady and we know her happily ever after is out there.
If you are interested in Poppy or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
