If you are interested in Roci or any of our dogs please fill out our adoption application.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved through the rescue, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Rico - in Maine!

Rico is so sweet and full of life. He was a natural posing for the photos and will already sit on command. At our southern partner shelter, they use the “Meet Your Match” evaluation method and he qualified as: Orange-Busy Bee – “I’m a naturally playful, curious and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings.”

Rico is an adorable Labrador Retriever mix who is eight months old (as of late October). He has a gorgeous and soft, fluffy red/orange coat that is perfect for petting! We think he looks a bit like a little red fox! Rico is such a sweetheart and is so affectionate! He does very well walking on a leash and enjoys his time in the play yard. Rico especially loves going up and down on the agility equipment. Rico does well with people of all ages and also gets along with cats and other dogs. He is a darling boy!

Rico was surrendered to the shelter, it sounds like an impulsive decision to get a puppy gone wrong because he required exercise (could you imagine a puppy needing that?!)
