Rolo - in Maine!

Most recent update: May 2021

Is he not the exact color of a Rolo? This handsome boy is 1.5 years old and is as chocolate labby as they get!  He is a good size boy at 60 lbs and he is a little bit shy upon first meeting. He likes other dogs just fine but we have no cat info at this time. He is living with a wonderful dog-savvy child whom he adores but we think older kids would be best for Rolo to keep him busy but also to be respectful and let their bond develop over time.

Treats are the way to win over Rolo. Once he knows you he is very loving. He will let you know when someone dares to enter the driveway but he wouldn’t hurt a fly, so not the best guard dog ever ; 0 )

Rolo has some lab tendencies such as digging and chewing so he would need supervision in a fenced yard and needs to be crated when you are not home until he learns his house manners. He has been kept primarily outdoors since coming into the care of our southern partner rescue so he will need a refresher on house training. He is staying with our doggie daycare friends and is doing just fine on housetraining -doesn't use his kennel for a bathroom at all. He loves the other dogs and is having a great time!

If you have interest in meeting Rolo or any of our sweet pups, please fill out the adoption application

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
