Sherlock - in Maine!
This darling little lady is Sherlock, and she has been through a LOT in her little life She is so loving with people, smart and loyal to the core, but she just can't be with other animals. She becomes so anxious and lashes out, it's heartbreaking to see her be afraid when another dog enters her world. She's been evaluated by a trainer who feels it would take an extroardinary amount of work to help her feel safe around another dog. Her family has a lot of dogs in their extended family and in the condo complex where she was to live, and this is too hard for Sherlock. If you want a snuggle buddy and a crazy playing girl, she just might be your new family member.
Sherlock absolutely loves children. She is so good with them and can't stop kissing her human friends. She is housetrained, crate-trained (but doesn't love being in there for a long time) and just a sweet young lady.
She is about two years old and about 14 lbs. She does pretty well on a leash but if a squirrel, bird or chipmunk crosses her path, she is off like a shot. A long lead and a secure harness will be great investments.
Check out a little video of Sherlock here.
Please note that we do not have a physical location where the dogs are housed. Sherlock is in a foster home in southern Maine waiting for her forever family to find her. Contact us for more info today!
