Skippy - in Maine
Newest update: June 2017
Skippy is such a doll! She weighs about 28 pounds and is so soft and fluffy! Skippy is great on a leash and loves the yard. She is around two years old. Not sure what the breed mix is, maybe some type of collie with that fluffy tail? Whatever she is, we love her!! Skippy does well with other dogs, too. She is very obedient, wants to please, and will sit on command.
Skippy was found as a stray and turned into our southern partner shelter. Noone claimed her so she was put up for adoption. It’s certainly their loss because she is so sweet and good-natured. She is great on a leash and loves the play yard.
Now that she is with us in Maine, we have discovered that Skippy can jump a 4 foot fence. Luckily she is friendly and went right to a neighbor to end her romp, but a potential adopter needs to know she has that ability and perhaps could harness it with some agility work! Skippy loves everyone she has met so far and she is looking forward to find her forever family. She has been tested with cats and did great - she wasn't really interested!
If you have interest in meeting Skippy or any of our cuties please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
