Please note: we do not have a physical location where the dogs are housed. They are cared for in our wonderful network of foster homes throughout New England. It is our expectation that an approved adopter will visit the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
Speckles - foster needed
Speckles is a beautiful Catahoula Leopard dog mix. She is two years old and weighs about 45 lbs. Her southern foster familly has been able to really get to know her since they are caring for her during heartworm treatment so that she can live a long happy, healthy life. They told us, "She continues to be an absolute joy. She listens (will come to you when called), she knows 'crate' which is good as she is crated a lot of the time due to her HW treatment. She gets along well with other dogs, shows no interest in the cats. Can be spunky and gets excited when we first come home but not a mean bone in her body. Has had NO accidents inside. I have dogs along all sides of my backyard and most of the fence is chain link so she does see and interact with smaller dogs too and really just wants to check them out. In the picture she is with my dog, Teddy. I have tried to explain to them that they are not boyfriend and girlfriend but they don't understand."
Speckles went to a public rescue event and did so well! She greeted everyone with a wagging tail and walked around the store like she had been there all her life. Everyone couldn't get over how beautiful she is! Pictures don't do her justice!
Speckles will be ready to roll at the end of October so she will be looking for her forever family at that time.
