Mitzi - in Maine! HOLD

This beautiful shy little lady is Mitzi and she has made so much progress in foster in just one week! In her southern foster home she was scared of most people and much in the world. Noone could blame her! She was rescued after being thrown out of a car window in a parking lot. Thankfully the right person was there at the right time and she got the help she needed!
Mitzi is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 41 lbs - she is a compact medium size girl and her breed mix is a mystery. She reminds us a bit of a border collie but she has an undercoat, and does not have the crazy energy of a BC. Whatever she is biologically, she is all kinds of adorable!
Mitzi is a quirky mix of outgoing and introverted. Some examples of this include her greetings - she is very excited to see new people and will make them feel VERY welcome, but if they walk towards her or reach over her head she will retreat. She has claimed "her spot" on the couch and uses it as her safe space, but she doesn't mind her crate at all. She is a little bit of a toy hoarder but she doesn't know much about how to play with them, just collects them.
If you have interest in meeting Mitzi or any of our sweeties, plese fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that a potential family, once approved, would meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
