Walden - in Maine!
Posted June 2018
Walden is such a great dog! He is one year old and has a beautifully patterned,two-toned coat that looks like he might be part Catahoula. He is approx 62 lbs. He is so bright and curious and interested in everyone and everything! Walden is an active dog who enjoys his daily walks, the longer the better! He is housetrained, too. The crate is not his favorite thing but he’ll get there once he gets into a routine with a forever family.
Walden is currently learning basic commands like “stay” and “come. He has a beautiful “sit”!
He has such a great personality - happy, friendly and fun! Walden's expressive doggy face looks like he is smiling at you.
Walden eats separately from other dogs as he is still learning that food will come consistently so he wants to protect it for himself. He does best in small groups or 1:1 with a play buddy because he has a lot of energy so he needs a good match with a play buddy.
At the vet’s office Walden did so well! He was sitting for treats for everyone and soaking up the love!
If you have interest in meeting Walden or any of our cuties, please fill out the adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they feel safe and loved.
