Check out this video of Yoshi! Such a ham!
Yoshi - in Maine!
Latest update: June 2016
What a great boy this is! He is listed as an Akita mix but we have no idea what his breed mix is! He is an awesome guy who gets along with other dogs and is good with kids - he used to live with a 6 year old and loved her. He was rescued last year from death row then adopted locally through our southern rescue partners; the owner then tried to sell him on Facebook so the rescue took him back into their care. There are no strangers in Yoshi’s world because everyone is his friend. He is estimated by a vet to be 3-4 years old; he weighs around 50lbs. He is housebroken and crate trained. He loves to go for walks or ride in the car. He is in great shape and was treated for heartworms and is cleared for full activity and to find his forever home!
Yoshi has come to many activities with us and is a perfect ambassador! He will charm the crowd accepting belly rubs and giving kisses. Yoshi has been around one of our very young volunteers and is so gentle and sweet!
When meeting some little dogs he does better if they are calmer. Puppies or dogs that are up in his face right away make him nervous. If the small dogs are not too spazzy, Yoshi greets them and goes on his merry way.
Yoshi can jump a 4 foot baby gate or fence easily.
