Adopt-a-Tree Festival 2020
The 5th annual Adopt-a-Tree Festival is here, a "virtually awesome" event!
You will have the chance to view beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, their decorations will be "adopted" at the end of the festival - each of them going home with a new family, just like Lucky Pup Rescue’s mission of matching dogs in need with their forever families!
Where: Virtually! Everyone in the US can participate!
When: Dec 1st through Dec 5th
Pick up of winning trees and wreaths begins Sunday afternoon, Dec 6th
Admission: Free to participate but you can buy raffle tickets or donate directly to the rescue.
How can I participate? Decorate an artificial or real Christmas tree or wreath of any size, style or fashion - traditional or non-traditional, using any type of materials. The decorations plus any gift cards or certificates will be raffled off at but this year you will keep the tree or wreath. The virtual option allows anyone in the US to participate – so fun! It also would allow you to participate in the festival and then use the same tree for your own holiday decorations after the festival ends on 12/6.
Suggestions for decorating your trees: While traditional Christmas decorations are always beautiful, you could also create your own masterpiece by creating a specific theme (ocean, tools, animals, memory tree, money tree with scratch tickets, items or gift certificates from your business, honoring a favorite author, animal, a different holiday, military etc.). The possibilities are limitless! We are in awe every year at the creativity and beauty - we will post some of the past trees on the event page and on social media posts.
Can I donate something else instead of a tree or wreath? Sponsorship of the festival, monetary donations and gift cards are great ways to participate in the festival and advertise your business. All gift cards will be used on Lucky Pup trees or another local tree in our community. Any in-kind or gift card donations will be advertised on our event pages. There are event sponsorship opportunities as well (attached). Social media sharing is encouraged and much appreciated!
How can I enter a tree? Fill out the online form or print and send the form by email () or snail mail (Lucky Pup Rescue, PO Box 461, Kennebunkport ME 04046) by Tuesday November 10th or leave a message at 207-985-6763 for questions or more info. You can also fax to 207-692-1001 or mail to Lucky Pup Rescue, PO Box 461, Kennebunkport ME 04046 but it must be received by 11/10. If you don’t receive confirmation, please contact us, as technology has its limits! We will also require photos and a short video to include in our advertising and on the auction site.
Who receives the proceeds? The Adopt-a-Tree Festival (AATF) supports Lucky Pup Rescue, a local non-profit all-breed dog rescue. All proceeds will be used directly for the care of the dogs who are in foster care with the rescue. Lucky Pup Rescue, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
