This 5 year old lab is Charlie and he is being surrendered locally because he is having trouble sharing attention with the newer dog in the home who is a younger male.

The current family thinks that Charlie would do better as an “only” but he has been around other dogs and played well on his terms.

The family tried to do the right thing and return him to the rescue he came from but they won’t respond to them so we’d like to help Charlie as a courtesy.

 

Charlie is an affectionate snuggle bug with his humans but he needs a home with adults only or older dog-savvy children because he has snapped at the young child in the home when he wasn’t ready for attention but the child was.

 

Please help us find Charlie a forever home who can meet his needs of exercise, good lovin' and  training to help him be the best boy he can be!

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
