Mario - in Maine!

Mario is just the quintessential adorable little dog. He would be fine in an apartment or a home. He’s very friendly and gets along with other dogs. We don’t know if he has ever been around children, but being an adult we would think that older children would probably be just fine; he recently spent time with a 9 year old and was very comfortable, but of course we would want to introduce everyone prior to an adoption decision. Mario is judged to be 6-8 years old, and he weighs 20 lbs. 

 

Mario was found running down a very busy street in Puerto Rico and was picked up by a gentleman as he was driving home; thankfully he ended up with our partner rescuers and they were able to take care of his vet needs including a dental cleaning.

 

We know Mario will be a wonderful family member to his new owners and we look forward to him finding fur-ever love!

 

Mario is in a Maine foster home with other dogs and recently met some dog-savvy cats and gave no cause for concern.

Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout New England. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
