Ollie - in Maine!
Posted December 2024
Ollie is the MOST precious soul! This little guy is already full grown at 3 years old and about 40 lbs. He is not only adorable but was destined to come to Maine. Can you see the outline of the state of Maine in white on the back of his neck?
We knew he must be part bull terrier but can you believe his DNA results? He is 56% bull terrier with a little cane corso and rottweiler if you feel confident in the tests ; 0 )
Ollie’s Maine foster family says he is sweet and snuggly; their home has older kids and dogs andand he does well with everyone. He has been exposed to cats as well. He really wants to be with his humans when at all possible but is able to stay at home crated near the other dogs without any blanket in his crate. He likes to test out the rules with each new person and dog but responds well to correction and is very sensitive. He follows the expectations once he knows them. He’s had no accidents indoors, even though he doesn’t love the cold in this new climate for him. He acts like a puppy at times because he is mouthy in his play until he learns that is not cool. Very little kids are not recommended due to his mouthing behavior.
Ollie has done well at doggy day care and he likes to ride in the car.His story is another example of failure by humans but we’re so happy to have him here now and to find him an active wonderful forever home.
Ollie is so smart and food-motivated that it will be easy to continue his training.
